Auli and Chopta: A Perfect Blend of Adventure and Serenity

Auli and Chopta, nestled in the Garhwal Himalayas of Uttarakhand, are two of India’s most picturesque destinations.

  • Auli: Known as the “Skiing Capital of India,” Auli is famous for its snow-covered slopes, breathtaking views of Nanda Devi, and thrilling cable car rides. It’s a haven for adventure enthusiasts and nature lovers.

  • Chopta: Dubbed the “Mini Switzerland of India,” Chopta is a serene meadow surrounded by dense forests and snow-capped peaks. It’s the starting point for the Tungnath Temple trek and Chandrashila Peak, offering spiritual and trekking experiences.

Together, Auli and Chopta promise a delightful mix of adventure, tranquility, and stunning Himalayan vistas, making them perfect for a rejuvenating getaway.

4 Days /3 Night

Start drive early morning to reach Joshimath ontime, In-route visit the famous Prayags- Devprayag, Rudraprayag, and Karnaprayag & Nandprayag. By the evening you will reach Joshimath. Check-in & overnight stay at hotel.

After breakfast proceed for ropeway ride/drive to Auli. On arrival proceed for chair ride in Auli & also spot the famous the sweet water lake (Auli Artificial Lake). Later embark for an exciting experience of skiing session for 01 hour with instructor (during winter/Snowfall). Return back to the hotel for overnight stay.

Option 2: Check out from the hotel at 3 AM and proceed towards to Kedarnath. After reach Sonprayag take a union cab and proceed towards to Gaurikund. After reach Gaurikund start a trek shri kedarnath ji 20-22/- km 9-10 HOURS. Upon reaching Kedarnath Ji, partake in darshan and Pooja. In the evening enjoy aarti after aarti back to hotel have a dinner and overnight stay at hotel.

Kedarnath: Revered as one of the 12 jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva, the Kedarnath shrine holds paramount importance among Hindus. Kedar is an epithet of Lord Shiva. According to various sculptures, following their victory over the Kauravas in the Mahabharata Battle, the Pandavas sought Lord Shiva's blessings to absolve themselves of the guilt associated with killing their own cousins. Lord Shiva, initially angered with the Pandavas, transformed into the form of a bull. Bhim recognized him, and as Shiva started disappearing into the ground, Bhim tried to push him out. The remaining hump became the Shivalinga in Kedarnath.

Kedarnath Weather: The region generally experiences cold weather throughout the year due to its high altitude. Even in summer, temperatures rarely exceed 20 degrees Celsius, making it the most pleasant period. However, winters bring severe cold, with temperatures dropping to 0 degrees Celsius or even lower.

Start around 6 Am in the morning towards next listed destination ‘Chopta’ popularly known as Mini Switzerland of India. On arrival at Chopta, check into the camp. Later commence trek to Tungnath through dense forest and enticing meadows. It is 3 km trek. Tungnath is situated at the height of 3680mts above the sea level. After resting for a while, you can head for (moonstone) Chandrashila; explore the magnificent view of the Himalayas. You can witness a wide view of snow -capped Himalayas. Later trek back stay at Chopta.
After breakfast proceed drive back towards Haridwar it is holiest city with high religious importance in Indian culture. The sacrosanct city, believed to be salvation giver. On arrival attend the most celebrated ceremony to be part of – anga Arti at Har Ki Pauri, which held every morning & evening. and drop
